The star everyone knew, but you won't believe how he looks today.

Michael J. Fox conquered the world at a young age, becoming an unforgettable face for an entire generation.

His captivating smile and infectious energy defined the 80s, especially with his role as Marty McFly in the Back to the Future trilogy.

However, behind the success and fame, he faced personal challenges that demanded unusual courage and resilience.

A Dazzling Career

Michael began his television career with the series Family Ties (Sacrée Famille, in France), quickly winning over audiences.

His talent, charisma, and humor propelled him to global fame. By age 24, he was already considered a true 80s icon, embodying youth, vitality, and achievable dreams.

The Diagnosis That Changed Everything

At 29, at the peak of his career, Michael was diagnosed with Parkinson's, a degenerative neurological disease still little understood at the time.

Initially, he decided to keep his condition private, continuing to act and entertain audiences even as his body began to show signs of the disease.

Courage to Speak Out

In 1998, Michael J. Fox decided to publicly reveal his diagnosis. More than just sharing his personal struggle, he broke a taboo and brought visibility to the reality of millions living with Parkinson's.

From then on, he began to scale back his acting activities to focus on his health and the greater cause of helping others.

A Greater Purpose

In 2000, he founded the Michael J. Fox Foundation to support Parkinson's research.

The foundation became one of the most influential in the world in its field, promoting significant scientific advancements and creating a more informed and united global community.

An Example of Strength and Optimism

Even as the disease progressed, Michael never lost his humor or optimism.

In his autobiography Lucky Man, he shares his life philosophy: each day is a challenge, but also a victory.

His story inspires thousands worldwide, showing that courage, hope, and dedication can transform lives.

Michael J. Fox stepped away from the Hollywood spotlight to dedicate himself to something much greater: inspiring, helping, and fighting for a cause that impacts millions of lives.
