New Dad Kicks Wife and Newborn Twins Out — Years Later, He Begs for Her Help

The rain poured down relentlessly as Angie huddled at a bus stop, clutching her newborn twin daughters close to her chest. Her arms ached, but she didn’t loosen her grip.

“God, please… help us get through tonight. Please give us shelter,” she whispered, wiping away the cold raindrops—mixed with her tears—from her babies’ cheeks.

She had no one left to turn to. Her parents had passed away years ago, and now she was alone, with two infants and nowhere to go.

A sudden noise behind her startled her. On edge but determined to protect her children, Angie turned quickly—only to find it was just a stray dog. She sighed in relief, but the weight of disbelief remained.

Just days before, her life had seemed normal. Now, she was homeless—with two babies.

Jake, her husband—the man she had loved and trusted—had thrown her and their newborns out as if they were nothing.

“If only Mom were here,” Angie sobbed quietly. “You warned me not to rush into marrying Jake. I should’ve listened.”

They had met after college and quickly fell into what seemed like a fairytale romance. They married after a year and began building a life together.

But everything changed four years into the marriage, when Angie told Jake she was pregnant.

His reaction wasn’t joy.
“Angie, I just launched my business. We’ve been putting off kids for years—I’m not ready to be a father,” he said, annoyed.

Still, Angie was hopeful. But when the doctor confirmed she was expecting twins, Jake’s mood darkened even more.

Before the ultrasound, he’d joked, “One baby is fine… just don’t say it’s twins.”

When it was, his smile vanished.
“Babies?” he asked with frustration before storming out of the clinic.

From then on, things only got worse. Jake buried himself in work, stopped attending checkups, and barely checked on Angie.

When the twins were born—two beautiful girls—he didn’t even come to the hospital. Instead, he sent his driver and maid to pick her up days later.

Back home, Jake gave her an ultimatum.

“We keep one baby. The other goes for adoption. If you don’t agree, you leave—with both.”

Angie was stunned.
“Do you hear yourself?” she cried. “They’re our daughters! How could you ask me to give one away?”

Jake didn’t flinch.
“My business is finally taking off. I’m not wasting my money raising two kids. Choose—stay with one or leave with both.”

Her choice was clear.

With just a suitcase and her babies, Angie walked out into the cold night—heartbroken and abandoned.

Back at the present, Angie looked down at her sleeping daughters at the bus stop.
“Where do we go from here?” she whispered.

Suddenly, headlights appeared. A car stopped, and the window rolled down to reveal an elderly woman in a nun’s habit.

“Dear, are you alright? It’s cold and wet. Please, come with me,” the nun said kindly.

Angie hesitated but felt trust in her voice. She wrapped her girls tighter in her jacket and climbed in.

“Your daughters are beautiful,” the nun smiled. “Do you have a place to stay?”

“No,” Angie replied quietly. “We were rejected by someone we loved.”

The nun took them to her convent, where Angie and her daughters found peace and shelter. She began teaching at the church’s school and also worked at a nearby restaurant. In two years, she saved enough to open a small café.

Life improved. Her daughters, Sophie and Marley, thrived. Angie never regretted leaving Jake. Although she never filed for divorce, she secretly hoped he’d change.

Over the next five years, Angie opened two more cafés and bought a small house. She provided a beautiful life for her daughters.

Meanwhile, Jake’s business failed. Investments flopped. Friends abandoned him. Drowning in debt, he thought of Angie—the woman he’d discarded. Maybe she could help him.

One evening, Angie heard a knock. She opened the door—and froze.

Jake stood on her porch, drenched and broken.

“Angie,” he said softly, “I’m sorry. I’ve lost everything—my business, my reputation. I now realize what a terrible mistake I made. Please… help me.”

Angie was shocked but let him in. Jake noticed a photo on the wall of Angie with their daughters. His eyes welled up.

“I was a fool. I abandoned the people who mattered most. Can you ever forgive me?”

Though surprised to see him again, Angie listened quietly. He was clearly a changed man. She handed him a check—exactly what he needed.

Jake was stunned.
“But… why are you helping me? After what I did?”

Angie smiled gently.
“Because that night, I learned what greed can destroy. And today, I’ve learned what forgiveness can restore. Holding onto hate only hurts us. We all make mistakes, Jake—but we also get the chance to make things right.”

Jake promised to not only rebuild his life, but also to earn back the love and trust of his family.
This time, he would start over—not alone, but together.
