My Stepdaughters Hid My Daughter’s Passport to Ruin Her Vacation – I Wanted to Cancel Everything, but Karma Struck First.

Michael thought his blended family was finally settling down—until his stepdaughters did something that left him furious. Hiding his daughter’s passport to stop her from going on a long-awaited vacation? Unforgivable. But before he could act, karma stepped in, and what happened next left everyone speechless.

A Marriage and a Divided Family

When I married Pam, I believed we could build a peaceful life together, despite our complicated family dynamic. But after what her daughters did to Kya, I realized I had been wrong all along.

My first wife passed away when Kya was only 13. My world collapsed, but I did everything I could to ensure my daughter had a stable life and never felt alone.

A few years later, I met Pam. She was understanding, caring, and seemed like the perfect person for a fresh start. She had two daughters, Danise and Tasha, but I didn’t see that as a problem. Danise was married, and Tasha was engaged, which meant our home would only include me, Pam, and Kya.

But life had other plans.

Two years into the marriage, Pam’s daughters’ relationships fell apart. Danise and Tasha moved back in with their small children. What had been a peaceful home turned into chaos—scattered toys, crying kids, and constant tension.

I tried to be understanding. Divorce is tough, and being a single mother is even harder. But my patience wore thin when I saw how my stepdaughters treated my daughter.

Kya’s Transformation into a Servant

At first, it was small favors: “Kya, can you bring me a glass of water?” “Kya, take out the trash.” “Kya, can you watch the kids for a minute?”

But it became routine. One night, as I was heading to the kitchen, I overheard a conversation that made me stop in my tracks:

“I don’t get why she gets to sit while we work so hard,” Tasha muttered to Danise.

I stepped into the room and looked straight at Pam. “This has to stop. Kya is not your daughters’ maid.”

Pam sighed. “They don’t mean any harm. They’re just overwhelmed.”

“If they need help, they should ask politely—and pay for it.”

Pam agreed, and things settled down for a while. But Kya soon realized her stepsisters never actually paid her as promised, so she started refusing their requests. To prevent more fights, Pam began giving my daughter money whenever she helped out.

I thought we had found a balance.

Until vacation day.

The Disappearance of the Passport

To ease the tension, I planned a three-day trip to a resort. Everyone seemed excited, including Kya.

Then, the night before the trip, Danise and Tasha made an absurd suggestion:

“Maybe Kya should stay and watch the kids,” Danise said, crossing her arms.

“It would be much easier,” Tasha added. “She already knows their routines.”

I rolled my eyes. “That’s not happening. Kya is coming with us.”

That was the end of the conversation—or so I thought.

The next morning, I was woken up by frantic screams.

“Dad! My passport is gone!”

I ran to Kya’s room and found her tearing through her belongings.

“It was right here! I put it in the side pocket of my backpack last night!”

We searched the entire house while Pam and her daughters just watched.

“Maybe we should go without her,” Pam suggested. “We can’t miss the flight.”

I stared at her in disbelief.

Then I noticed something else strange—the babysitter I had hired never showed up. I called her, and her response left me stunned.

“Hey, Michael! I got your message saying you didn’t need me anymore. Danise told me this morning.”

That was the last straw. I turned to my stepdaughters and demanded,

“Where’s the passport?”

Danise played innocent, but Tasha soon admitted, “Okay! We hid it. But it’s not a big deal…”

“You have five minutes to give it back, or the trip is canceled for everyone.”

Grumbling, Danise went to retrieve it.

That’s when Kya’s eyes widened as she pointed at Danise and Tasha’s children.

They were covered in red spots.

Chickenpox.

Kya and I had already had it, but Pam and her daughters never had.

Their faces went pale.

I crossed my arms. “Well, you wanted Kya to stay home. Now you have no choice but to stay, too.”

As they panicked, Kya and I boarded our rescheduled flight.

The Final Decision

During the vacation, I realized how unhappy my daughter was in that house.

When we returned, I sat down with Pam and got straight to the point:

“Your daughters tried to manipulate Kya, and you let them. This has to stop.”

“Michael, we can work this out…”

“No. This is a pattern. And my daughter will always come first.”

Pam’s face turned white.

Danise and Tasha, overhearing the conversation, tried to protest. “You can’t kick us out!”

“Yes, I can. Pack your things. I want you out by the end of the week.”

And just like that, I kicked Pam and her daughters out of my house. They never respected my daughter, and now they had to fend for themselves.

Karma worked faster than I ever could have imagined.
